At Aishinkakura Clinic, our ophthalmology department is led by the clinic director, a board-certified ophthalmologist and Doctor of Medicine (PhD) with extensive clinical experience at university hospitals and major medical centers.
We provide careful, personalized consultations and accurate, evidence-based care for a wide range of eye conditions—from common symptoms such as blurred vision, eye itching, decreased visual acuity, and eye strain, to more specialized and advanced conditions including ptosis (drooping eyelids), cataracts, glaucoma, keratoconus, dry eye, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, as well as refractive correction procedures such as ICL (implantable contact lenses) and orthokeratology.

Our clinic director has devoted many years to the study and treatment of keratoconus, a highly specialized field within ophthalmology. Keratoconus is a condition in which treatment options vary significantly depending on each patient’s individual eye condition, disease stage, and lifestyle.
At Aishinkakura Clinic, we emphasize thorough examinations, accurate diagnosis, and long-term follow-up, utilizing advanced diagnostic technologies such as CASIA2 corneal shape analysis. This allows us to carefully assess corneal structure and progression, and to support both eye health and quality of daily life.
We provide a full range of visual correction options, including glasses, specialized contact lenses, and scleral lenses, and recommend the most appropriate approach based on each patient’s symptoms and lifestyle needs.
When signs of progression are detected, we also offer corneal cross-linking (CXL)—currently the only proven treatment to halt disease progression—allowing us to deliver comprehensive, future-oriented care with a focus on long-term visual outcomes.

ICL（Implantable Collamer Lens) is an advanced vision correction procedure in which a special lens is implanted inside the eye to correct refractive errors. Unlike LASIK, the cornea is not reshaped, resulting in less stress on the eye and long-lasting, natural, and clear vision.
This treatment is particularly suitable for patients with high myopia, dry eye, or those who feel uneasy about corneal laser surgery.
